<description>Interesting information. We support stopping plastic pollution and plastic bottle pollution in particular. Not all water is safe; persons with immune problems can not tolerate the chlorine in most municipal water. The water in many countries isn&#039;t safe to drink...thankfully, here in the U.S., most of it is. PET plastic from which most water and soda bottles are made does not cause cancer, the problem with our water/soda bottles is that they are so well engineered that they do not break down in a landfill. Know one knows for sure how long they&#039;ll last but you idea of 10,000 years might be accurate. As you know more than 150 billion bottles are produced each year and only 20-30% is recycled. The remained end up in our landfills, lakes, streams, and oceans. We started our company, ENSO Bottles to address the huge amount that weren&#039;t being recycled. ENSO Bottles is an environmental company that supports recycling, reusing, and developing plastics that will biodegrade. Our bottles will biodegrade in an anaerobic or aerobic environment. The ENSO bottle doesn’t solve all our plastic pollution problems but it is a step in the right direction.
